The Unicum Group of Companies is the leading Russian providerof solutions and products for the gaming and amusement industry. Since 1990 the company has manufactured and distributed slot machines and equipment for casinos, slot sites, and amusement complexes. It also offers consulting services about effective system operations.

Unicum’s engineers worked with Advantech-Innocore Gaming to specify and produce a very specialized platform consisting of a high performance motherboard and an optimized backplane. Unique features were included for I/O, security, and reliability. The specification drew heavily on Unicum’s expertise in producing gaming machines and Advantech-Innocore’s in-depth knowledge and experience designing PC architecture products for gaming.

The design was produced in a record time of less than 5 months and will provide Unicum with a versatile, high performance platform for many years into the future.
